Adult Education : Germany

Every year, ten million people in Germany take advantage of the many opportunities for further education. Continuing education is necessary in a modern industrial society in view of the fact that the demands of work are increasing and changing all the time. Many people have to change occupations several times in their life. But further education is also an important leisure-time factor. It has a political function as well, since the individual can only have a say in matters if he is capable of making his own judgment in various fields.
