Composition Of The Supervisory Board : Germany

The supervisory board consists of an equal number of shareholder and employee representatives:

a ratio of 6:6 in companies with a work force of up to 1 0,000 j>in a ratio of 8:8 in companies with a work force of more than 10,000 and up to 20,000; and

in a ratio of 10:10 in companies with a work force of more than 20,000.

The company’s articles can, under certain circumstances, provide for a balanced increase in the number of members of the supervisory board. Some of the seats on the supervisory board are reserved for the trade unions represented in the company (or group).
