The progress of the Joint Initiative is assessed on a semiannual basis. Through the planned tax reductions for firms, further deregulation of the markets and continued privatization, moreover, the Federal Government will ensure that the framework conditions for investors in the new federal states are further improved.
AH in all, the Federal Government expects the recovery process to accelerate again, even though the high growth rates of the past are unlikely to be achieved again in the near future.
