In order to perfectly plan, organize and realize EXPO 2000, the Federation, the State of Lower Saxony, the City and Region of Hanover, and representatives of the German business community founded the corporation EXPO 2000 Hannover GmbH in May 1 994.

The work of the Office of the Commissioner General and of EXPO 2000 Hannover GmbH is supported by
^the International Advisory Board (IAB), which above all assists the organizers in searching for and selecting the international projects. The President of the IAB is Ricardo Dfez-Hochleitner, the President of the Clubb of Rome. The IAB acts as a worldwide ambassador for the World Exposition EXPO 2000;

>the Kuratorium EXPO 2000, which deals with matters pertaining to the basic content of the World Exposition and is primarily involved in the conception of the Thematic Area. It is chaired by Prof. Dr. Richard Schroder; >the EXPO 2000 Cultural Council, which serves as the adviser for the extensive Culture and Events Programme. Its President is Bernd Kauffmann, the President of the Foundation Weimarer Klassik.
