Aims of Development Policy : Germany
In 1995 Germany spent a net total (i.e. after deduction of repayments on loan principal) of DM 10.8 billion on official development cooperation. This amount, which includes assistance provided by the Federal Government as well as aid furnished by the federal states (1995: DM 788.6 million), is equivalent to 0.31% of the gross national product and is thus above the average for all industrial countries.
