Bobbies on the beat and double-decker buses, thatched cottages and country houses, village pubs and cream teas, eccentric aristocrats and people constantly shaking hands, saying “How d’you do?â€? and discussing the weather. Until recently England was generally thought of as a gentle, fabled land freeze-framed sometime in the 1930s, home of the post office, country pub and vicarage. It happens time after time. People understand Europe the way they’ve been introduced to it – The usual tourist meccas, the attractions on a thousand postcards. Then they remember Belgium, the little country, they passed through a few days ago. It seems beautiful, it’s practically next door to Paris, London and Amsterdam, and they have 24 hours to explore it before heading home. Two hours later, they are in love with Belgium.
Baroque architecture and a street named Meat & Bread; an exhibit of comic strips; and jazz until dawn — you could only be in Brussels. Don’t miss the Grand’Place and its Gothic Town Hall; it is one of the most beautiful squares in the world! (more…)

The Garden is located 35 km south east of caen. It was re-designed by barrister who knew Horace Walpole. The layout is best understood as a French interpretation of the Augustan style, like chiswick park. It has an axis leading from the house across a grass partene and an axial woodland ornamented with small temples including the Temple de la pleureuse and a chinesse pavillion.

The Loire river is the longest and the last wild river in western Europe like most rivers the loire rises in the mountains. It begins in the cavennes near the foot of the gerbier de jonc. The river flows 634 miles from its head waters to the atlantic ocean where it is in gorges that france’s most beautiful scenery are located as well as many chateaux`s and vineyards.
