Otopeni is a town in Ilfov County, Romania, near the capital of Bucharest. It has 10,500 inhabitants.
Its claim to fame is the Henri Coandă International Airport – formerly known as Bucharest Otopeni International Airport. As of 2004, it is also the locality in Romania with the highest GDP per capita.
It also one of the most cleanest towns in Romania, also famous for the growing comunity and new residential areas forming there.
