Zurs Magic-100 Jahre Skikurs Zurs
Bei der Veranstaltung Zurs Magic” am Arlberg setzen die Skischule Zurs und die Zurser Betriebe alles daran, ein Publikum zu verzaubern". Und das zu einem besonderen Anlass: Am Montag, 27. Februar, wird unter dem Motto 100 Jahre Skikurs Zurs” gefeiert. Ab 21.30 Uhr wird der Lorunserhang in Zurs beim Dorfzentrum in Fackellicht getaucht. Zauberer, Gaukler und Kunstler verbreiten eine magische Stimmung und entfuhren in eine andere Welt. Die Gaste und Zuschauer des Spektakels werden selbstverstandlich mit warmen Getranken und Snacks verwöhnt.
Unter der Leitung von Viktor Sohm trafen sich einige skibegeisterte Einheimische zum ersten Skikurs 1906 und lernten Schussfahren, Telemark und Stemmbogen. Schon 1928 wurde dann die erste organisierte Skischule gegrundet. 1938 erbaute Zurs den ersten Skilift Österreichs. Heute beschaftigt die Skischule Zurs bis zu 200 SkilehrerInnen, 100 Diplomskilehrer, davon sind 75 Bergfuhrer sowie viele speziell ausgebildete Snowboard- und Kinderskilehrer.
